Responsibilities
- Prepare, marinate, and cook meats, seafood, breads, and vegetables in a tandoor oven
- Operate and maintain the tandoor safely and efficiently
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all dishes
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control
- Follow recipes and adapt seasoning to maintain authentic flavors
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and work area
- Comply with food safety, health, and hygiene regulations
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation
- Minimize waste and assist with inventory control
- Proven experience as a Tandoori Chef or similar role
- Strong knowledge of tandoor cooking techniques and spices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-heat kitchen environment
- Good time management and teamwork skills
- Awareness of food safety and hygiene standards
