Overview

First Bus is hiring a Trainee Bus Driver in Taunton. The role offers training and a permanent, full‑time position with guaranteed hours.

• Drive local bus services across Taunton and surrounding areas.
• Provide safe, reliable and comfortable journeys for passengers.
• Follow scheduled rota including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Represent a professional, customer‑facing image at all times.

• Full UK driving licence held for at least 6 months.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Flexible approach to shift work.
• No PCV licence required; training provided.

• Starting pay £13.60 per hour during training; £14.60 per hour once qualified.
