Position OverviewThe Commercial Lines Account Executive plays a critical role in driving business development, strengthening client relationships, and growing the commercial book of business. This is a client‑facing, consultative sales role that balances new business generation with account stewardship and strategic risk management.
Work ArrangementThis is a full‑time, hybrid position that reports to our office located in Taunton, MA.
Professional Responsibilities- Prospect Development:
Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through targeted outreach and networking. - Client Engagement:
Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as their trusted advisor on commercial insurance needs. - Coverage Design:
Assess client operations and exposures to recommend tailored coverage strategies. - Policy Placement:
Collaborate with underwriters and carriers to place new and renewal policies that align with client objectives. - Cross‑Selling:
Identify and pursue cross‑line opportunities to deepen account value and service. - Sales Execution:
Present quotes, negotiate terms, and close deals while meeting or exceeding performance targets. - Contract Review:
Evaluate client agreements for insurance implications and recommend risk‑mitigation strategies. - Account Stewardship:
Ensure a high level of service and retention through ongoing account monitoring and client support. - Claims Support:
Assist clients with claim reporting and follow‑up to ensure timely and fair resolutions. - Market Intelligence:
Stay attuned to industry trends, carrier appetite shifts, and competitor movements.

Qualifications and Requirements- Licensing:
Active Massachusetts Property & Casualty Insurance License required. - Experience:
5+ years in a commercial insurance sales or account executive role, preferably in an agency setting. - Education:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Risk Management, or related field preferred. - Certifications:
Professional designations such as CIC, ARM, or CRM a plus. - Product Knowledge:
Strong understanding of commercial lines products, coverage structures, and underwriting principles. - Systems:
Proficient in EPIC, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite. - Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and educate clients. - Client Service:
Proven ability to deliver high‑touch, empathetic service that builds trust and loyalty. - Organization:
Highly organized and detail‑oriented, able to manage a dynamic workload and prioritize effectively. - Collaboration:
Team‑oriented with a track record of partnering cross‑functionally to achieve goals.

$100,000 – $150,000 plus bonus and commission opportunities depending on the candidate’s experience.

The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work.
