Sunday – Thursday, 3rd shift, 8:30 pm – 4:30 am - Benefits:

A Refrigeration Technician will diagnose, overhaul, adjust, and repair all series of motor truck and trailer equipment with the primary focus on refrigeration unit maintenance for commercial trucks and trailers. The technician troubleshoots, diagnoses, rebuilds, replaces and completes all required repairs on commercial reefer equipment.
Position Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair components on truck and trailer reefer units.
- Maintain transport refrigeration units on trucks and trailers by performing diagnostics using scanners, electronic test equipment, and onboard computers.
- Support the company's college recruiting efforts by developing relationships with partner universities and participating in recruiting activities.
- Complete preventive maintenance, component replacement, and service to refrigeration equipment.
- Maintain truck and trailer refrigeration units and truck APU by reviewing shop orders.
- Repair failures; remove, replace, and test for refrigerant leaks, assemble and install parts and components involving soldering, welding, and the use of refrigeration equipment.
- Install various new units on trailers, trucks, and vans.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Education:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. - Experience:
3+ years working on Thermo King or Carrier reefer units. Must hold a 608 certification and possess specialized training in the overhaul of refrigeration components. - Proficiency with all necessary tools of trade.
- Physical requirements:
Ability to move frequently, stand, walk, sit, and regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs (45 kg). - Ability to work in a non‑climate‑controlled environment.
- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, and work at the specific location.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must own personal tools.
- Professional certifications:
Master Certified, Thermo King or Carrier Certification, 608/609 certifications. - Experience:
3+ years with tractor‑trailer maintenance. Master Certified.
