Overview

Sr Advanced Software Engineer – Crypto & Cross Domain Solutions, Taunton, MA. Contract Position. Join a team at the forefront of national security—develop and enhance advanced cryptographic and cross domain solutions that support secure, mission-critical communications.

• Drive the end-to-end development of high-assurance software systems for cryptographic and cross-domain products in a secure, agile engineering environment.
• Design, develop, test, and debug secure software systems in support of crypto and cross-domain solutions.
• Lead software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities, from architecture through deployment.
• Apply industry and government security standards to ensure software integrity and compliance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate software into larger systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the development stack.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and technical standards.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers as needed.
• Ensure security-first design practices aligned with Department of Defense requirements.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related STEM field.
• Clearance:
  Active DoD Secret clearance required at time of hire.
• Experience:
  
  8 years of relevant software engineering experience OR Master’s degree with 6 years of experience.
• Development
  
  Skills:
  
  Experience with software design, development, testing, and debugging.
• Familiarity with agile software development practices.
• Knowledge of secure coding standards and cryptographic systems preferred.
