Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full‑Time Warehouse Associate in Taunton, Massachusetts. Warehouse positions are paid each week: hourly pay $18.00, overtime $27.00. First Shift: Tuesday–Saturday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months of related warehouse experience required; one year or more preferred
  • Operate powered industrial trucks (stand‑up, sit‑down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.) and maintain them (battery change, mechanical issue recognition) – intermediate level required
  • May be required to operate manual and/or automated warehouse equipment such as packaging lines – intermediate preferred
  • Powered industrial truck certification
  • Read and apply basic mathematics in English for safety, work instructions, and policies
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Input data into the WMS computer system(s) in use
  • Work overtime as assigned
  • Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Self‑driven, adaptable to fast‑paced environment
  • Multi‑task, highly organized, excellent time‑management skills
  • Detail‑oriented with excellent follow‑up practices
Responsibilities
  • Package, kit, and/or assemble orders and materials; load and unload inbound/outbound trailers
  • Ensure all scanning is completed correctly and investigate/resolution of scanning issues
  • Help train dock employees on new procedures and secure the facility at shift end
  • Perform picking and packing duties, checking for product or container damage
  • Execute material moves with associated physical/logical transactions per policies and procedures
  • Participate in workgroup and other team activities for self‑improvement and warehouse operations enhancement
  • Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area; address additional duties as assigned
