Vehicle Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Technician to join our client’s reputable automotive business in Tavistock, Devon. Duties of the Vehicle Technician:

• Perform vehicle servicing, repairs, and MOTs to high standards
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle issues accurately and efficiently
• Fit tyres, brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension, and other mechanical components
• Carry out fast fit tyre fitting, wheel alignments, and related adjustments
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
• Provide honest and clear advice to customers regarding vehicle conditions and service requirements
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of common issues across various makes and models
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to manufacturer standards

Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in the automotive industry
• Proven experience in mechanical repairs, including tyre fitting, brakes, suspension, and exhausts
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment as the Vehicle Technician
• Full UK Driving Licence held for at least six months
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively within a team
• Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
