Experience in Early Years would be highly beneficial in this role, particularly a Level 3 qualification.
Working PatternWe are ideally seeking someone to work three days per week initially, to help manage the increased interest and uptake in our thriving nursery provision. The preferred days are Tuesday to Thursday
, although there is some flexibility for negotiation. Working days are largely determined by the days families require nursery provision and are unlikely to change once agreed.
To work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff, usually in the classroom with the teacher, to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. In early years, this might extend to personal care and leading small groups. Work might occasionally take place outside the main teaching area.
Responsibilities- Support teaching staff under their direct instruction in the early years setting.
- Assist with classroom management and pupil support.
- Provide personal care and lead small groups as required.
- Engage with pupils to facilitate learning and development.
- Experience in Early Years (Level 3 qualification preferred).
- Understanding of early years curriculum and development.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Eligibility for enhanced DBS check.
Location: Central Head Office (Wardhayes) 8 Simmons Way, Okehampton, EX20 1PY
Purpose: Comprehensive training on company policies, procedures and systems necessary for successful integration into the role.
Schedule: Daily sessions from 9 am to 4 pm, with breaks.
