Role Overview

As Chef, you will be responsible for planning and preparing fresh, high-quality meals tailored to residents’ dietary needs and preferences. You will manage the day-to-day running of the kitchen and ensure consistently high standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare balanced, home-cooked meals and desserts

• Cater for specialist dietary requirements (e.g., modified diets, allergies)

• Manage ordering, stock control, and kitchen budgets

• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and health & safety

• Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and safely

• Contribute to seasonal and themed menu planning

✅ Skills & Experience

• Previous chef experience (healthcare or hospitality desirable)

• Understanding of nutritional needs for older people

• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations

• Ability to manage a kitchen independently

• Reliable, organised, and passionate about quality food
