Supports developmental test and evaluation of acoustic systems for the P-8A Integrated Test Team.
Applies engineering principles to research, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate systems.
Reviews and prepares test plans, test reports, and other technical documentation.
Applies engineering experience to perform functions of Developmental Test & Evaluation.
Position Requirements- Degree:
Bachelor degree in an Engineering or related technical field for a scientist is required. A related field Master’s Degree may be substituted for 2 years of work experience. - Years of
Experience:
Three years experience performing the BLS Function Description. Three years NAVAIR, NAWCAD experience. - Experience with Test and Evaluation, Naval or DoD Acquisition, and underwater acoustics.
- Former sensor/sonobuoy operator experience might be a nice fit.
- Ability to communicate, work within a team, work within a classified environment, and apply physical principles and engineering knowledge to assessment of a system under development.
- Three years experience assisting more senior positions performing functional duties of a similar position desired.
Salary Range 80K-150K and will commensurate with experience
Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time
Level of Clearance Required Top Secret (desired)
Amount of Travel Limited. Estimated 3-4 trips of 4-5 days each annually.
