* We are looking for an Electrical Substation Engineer to join our ICE Team to improve infrastructure in our Michigan offices. The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, and two to five years of experience with high voltage substation design. Substation design encompasses distribution, sub-transmission, and transmission level voltage classes.

Experience with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam Revu PDF Editor is preferred. Some travel will be required. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible work schedule (hybrid or remote) is available.

* Responsibilities include:

*
* - Prepare one-lines, installation plans, section views, and details for power substation equipment.
- Prepare schematics, panel elevations, wiring diagrams, and interconnection diagrams for protective relaying & control schemes.
- Conduct research and develop recommendations for equipment and materials.
- Perform engineering calculations related to lightning protection, conduit fill, station service loading, surge arrester sizing, and voltage drop.
- Create RTU control, status, and analog point lists, raceway/cable schedules, and signage.
- Develop electrical design deliverables, including protection and control design.
- Assist in developing and maintaining engineering standards.
- Provide technical guidance.
- Coordinate with other disciplines.
- Possibly perform QA/QC.
- Attend client and project meetings.
- Maintain client relations.
- Adhere to budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Maintain a safe work environment.

* Education:

*
* - Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

** Skills/

Experience:

*
* - 2-5 years of high voltage substation design experience.
- Knowledge of utility standards, NESC, construction techniques.

- Experience with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam Revu preferred.
- EIT in pursuit of PE License.
- Willingness to travel.
