We are partnering with an Automotive Chemical company seeking to add a Japanese bilingual account manager to their team. The account manager would oversee the Japanese automotive accounts with some travel required to client sites.

Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire, Exempt

Location: Taylor, MI (25% travel to customer sites)

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 depending on candidate experience

• Manage relationships with Japanese automotive OEM customers, understanding their business culture and technical expectations
• Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales and profit growth
• Lead customer meetings, presentations, and business reviews
• Collaborate with suppliers, internal teams, and global stakeholders to align on requirements and approvals
• Support project and technical teams; provide guidance and coaching as needed
• Ensure compliance with automotive processes (PPAP, APQP) and oversee customer issue resolution
• Track KPIs, maintain customer records, and prepare reports
• Uphold company safety, quality, and environmental policies

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field
• 5+ years in technical sales or account management, ideally in automotive
• Proven success managing complex accounts and projects
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Experience with industrial or automotive materials and processes
