QA​/QC Inspector

Reporting to:
Site Project Manager and Liaise with the company QA Manager

T&F are recruiting a QA/QC Inspector with Electrical background for a project in Peterhead.

You will be responsible for promoting the Taylor and Fraser quality orientation culture and ensuring that all parts of the quality process is completed and documented on site. The key focus of the role is supporting the delivery team in providing the highest quality to our clients and promote a “right first time” attitude with minimal snagging.

Be the person that T&F teams see as a positive value and support with all aspects of installations works on site.

• Develop, support, and drive the Quality strategy for the site in line with the business and Client requirements.
• Ensure the Project Quality Plan reflects both T&F and the client’s requirements and updated as required throughout the duration of the project.
• Ensure all submittals are in place and approved for the project.
• Develop the Inspection and test plans for each stage of the installation works.
• Ensure all relevant check sheets are completed and signed off in line with the ITP’s before the next phase of the installation works begin.
• Ensure all check sheets have photographic evidence to back up the completed works.
• Maintain good document management within ACC Autodesk.
• Assist the project teams with delivering the Inspection and Test Plans, to be implemented and monitored as the project proceeds.
• Support project teams by reviewing details and physical works in progress at various stages of the construction cycle to ensure that we achieve the highest standard of quality in the works we deliver.
• Implementing root cause analysis, identifying appropriate corrective action in the event of non-conformances.
• Assist in managing and maintaining the company Management System.
• Any other reasonable and relevant duties as requested by your manager, necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the company.

• A trade/engineering background is essential.
• 5+ years professional experience.
• A high level of technical knowledge across the Electrical industry.
• SJIB Grade card
• BS 7671 18 th Edition Qualified.
• An understanding of requirements for off-site quality control.
• Working knowledge of NICEIC online is a strong advantage.
• Experience on projects within the Pharma, Bio, Food, DC, Energy and other specialised industries is desirable.
• Team player and able to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Flexible to change and open to constructive feedback.
• Strong IT skills, with experience using digital construction platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage at various levels.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
• An ability to educate and train others effectively on relevant matters.
