Zone Quality Inspector

$20.25 - $25.00/hr (Based on Experience)

Steel Tool & Engineering is a growing aerospace manufacturer producing high-precision machined and fabricated components for the aerospace industry. We are looking for a detail-oriented Zone Inspector to help ensure quality throughout our manufacturing process.

If you have experience with inspections, blueprint reading, measuring tools, and GD&T, we'd love to hear from you.

• Perform inspections throughout the production floor
• Verify products meet customer and engineering requirements
• Identify and contain quality issues before parts move to the next operation
• Conduct process and product audits
• Assist with calibration and gage management activities
• Train and support employees on proper gage usage
• Work with Team Leads and Quality Engineers to resolve quality concerns
• Support continuous improvement efforts that enhance product quality

• High School Diploma or GED
• Manufacturing, inspection, or quality experience preferred
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
• Knowledge of GD&T required
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to perform detailed visual inspections in a manufacturing environment
