Seasonal Seamstress Tailor Sewist Alterations
Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $19.75/hr

We are seeking Alterations Specialists who complete fittings and alterations to high standards and report to the Store Manager. They demonstrate friendly, knowledgeable, and technical expertise while providing superior customer service.
Responsibilities- Welcome customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm in person, on the phone, or via virtual chats; communicate clearly and adapt style to solve problems and resolve conflicts.
- Use all systems to manage customer flow and deliver a five-star customer experience.
- Maintain service levels by being Prepared, Welcoming, Meeting needs, and supporting customers with operational tasks and emotional support.
- Provide exceptional service to multiple customers and contribute to Five-Star Customer Service store-wide.
- Address customer concerns with confidence; know when to escalate and partner with leadership.
- Explain how alterations can perfect dresses for events and promote alteration services and personalization options.
- Assist stylists in closing sales by advising on gown fit and customization.
- Maintain store standards and dress code compliance; escort alterations customers to appointments.
- Inspect garments altered/steamed/pressed for pristine condition before delivery.
- Respond promptly to customer questions with product and service information.
- Build long-term customer relationships to meet satisfaction and loyalty goals.
- Manage alterations, fittings, sewing, steaming, pressing, and spot cleaning to company standards.
- Ensure alteration pricing aligns with company standards.
- Support all cash-wrap processes and handle transactions accurately to create a celebratory experience.
- Keep the alterations room clean and organized.
- Perform duties as assigned by store management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of retail experience in apparel or a specialty store environment.
- Prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal or special occasion production.
- Prior experience with computerized POS is a plus.
- Occasional standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods; ability to lift up to 10 pounds; use of hands for sewing, steaming, and computer work.
