Alterations Customer Service Representative
Join David’s Bridal as an Alterations Customer Service Representative. This role is critical for the successful operation of the Alterations department, ensuring superior customer service.
Responsibilities include welcoming and servicing customers, making appointments, answering phones, pressing garments, and ensuring items are ready for pickups. The CSR must provide an A+ experience, communicate effectively, manage customer flow, promote alterations services, maintain store standards, and handle cash and inventory processes.
Essential Job Functions- Welcome all customers with genuine enthusiasm over phone, virtual chats, and in person.
- Use all systems to manage customer flow and deliver five‑star service.
- Meet service vows:
Prepare, Welcome, Meet Needs & Be There for all customers. - Provide exceptional multi‑customer service and proactively address concerns.
- Effectively communicate how alterations enhance dresses for special events.
- Promote all alterations services and personalization options.
- Maintain store‑standards (clean, organized, promotional readiness, store recovery).
- Greet and escort all alterations customers to and from appointments.
- Press, steam, and spot clean all merchandise.
- Follow quality control guidelines and inspect all garments before delivery.
- Build long‑term relationships to exceed customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Support inventory management, processing special orders, pick‑ups, and quality standards.
- Process transactions accurately at the cash wrap.
- Seek assistance from the Alterations Manager for unresolved issues.
- Maintain a clean and well‑organized alterations room.
- Perform duties and tasks assigned by store management.
- Stand, walk, sit, reach, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as required.
- Move up to 10 pounds.
- Use manual dexterity for POS, steaming, sewing, and computer use.
- Visual and hearing requirements for customer interaction.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store.
- Prior sewing experience is helpful.
- Experience with computerized POS system.
