Civil Construction Superintendent
We are looking for an experienced Civil Construction Superintendent to join our team. If you are a field leader who knows how to move dirt, manage subcontractors, and drive a schedule, we want to hear from you. You will be responsible for the daily coordination of all field operations, including self‑performed work and subcontractor management. You will ensure that projects are constructed according to plans, specifications, and local codes while strictly adhering to our safety program.
Role& Responsibilities
- Conduct daily quality control inspections to ensure that subcontractors have completed work in accordance with specifications, meeting all contractual requirements and industry standards.
- Manage all civil construction work at site (underground utility, road paving, concrete and earth works).
- Lead quality control inspections with inspectors.
- Perform daily site patrol and track productivity to manage project timeline and schedule.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary contractors on‑site.
- Enforce safety policies and ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
- Coordinate crew mobilization and subcontractor work to prevent delays and avoid conflicts on‑site.
- Monitor and control project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
- Experience with large‑scale infrastructure projects such as high‑tech infrastructure, highways, utilities, concrete, or large‑scale grading operations.
- Exceptional coordination skills.
- Proficient knowledge of relevant construction codes, regulations, and specifications.
- Strong project management and document tracking abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, and inclement weather.
