Own end-to-end cleanroom and facility HVAC engineering for new fab builds and major expansions—delivering temperature, humidity, and pressure cascade control that supports ISO‑classified bays/corridors and sub‑fabs. Scope spans AHUs/MAUs/FFUs, VAV/pressurization schemes, return/exhaust strategies (acid/solvent/general), heat recovery/economizers, BAS/BMS integration, and commissioning/TAB from Basis of Design ? P&IDs/sequence ? construction ? turnover.
Day‑to‑DayDevelop/own load calcs & psychometrics; size coils/fans, outside air, and latent/sensible splits for cleanroom zones and support areas. Define pressure cascades (bay ? chase ? service), leakage allowances, and door/airlock strategies; manage differential pressure alarm setpoints and recovery sequences. Create PFDs/P&IDs, control narratives, and sequences of operation for AHUs/MAUs/FFUs/VAVs, reheat, humidification/dehumidification, and emergency modes (EPO, purge, smoke). Coordinate BIM/VDC (Revit/AutoCAD) with Arch/Civ/Str and MEP;
resolve clash for duct mains, drops, and cleanroom ceiling plenums; set slab FF/FL interface requirements. Integrate HVAC with exhaust/abatement (acid/solvent/HEPA), bulk/specialty gas rooms (HPM), and tool heat loads via utility matrices; ensure AMC/VOC control and filtration strategy (HEPA/ULPA). Specify and review fans, coils, filters, humidifiers, VFDs, valves, sensors, and ECM FFUs; define N+1 and energy recovery strategies. Field execution: RFIs, submittals, TAB plans, airflow visualization/smoke studies, balancing, trend/alarm tuning in BAS/BMS, and turnover documentation (O&M, as‑builts).
Support FAT/SAT, functional performance tests, and compliance sign‑off for ISO 14644 classes and owner environmental specs.
- 5–10+ years HVAC design/commissioning for semiconductor or advanced manufacturing.
- Strong with ASHRAE (incl. 170/90.1 concepts), ISO 14644, SMACNA, NFPA, IFC HPM awareness, and SEMI environmental guidance.
- Proficiency in load/psychrometric calculations, Revit/AutoCAD, and writing control sequences; hands‑on with BAS/BMS trend & alarm tuning.
- Practical TAB/commissioning experience: airflow balancing, DP cascades, humidity control, and start‑up troubleshooting.
