Position Summary

The IWT Construction Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership and ensuring code compliance and safety for new construction, remodels, and the evaluation of new facilities. This role includes managing design teams during construction, overseeing general contractor activities, conducting regular site walks for accuracy, and assisting team members with daily tasks.

Role and Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Lead strategic fab and support project planning for IWT systems including review and approval of IWT requirements and finding critical path solutions for code and regulatory concerns with those materials.
  • Develop, review, and approve SAS/STS site construction related water piping, equipment, and the associated distribution rooms and buildings.
  • Provide technical guidance to contracted design teams and sub‑cons for review and mean/methods of construction.
  • Interface with site operations and EHS teams to audit construction contractors are meeting applicable codes and standards.
  • Interface between Construction General Contractor, Subcontractor, Consultant Design Team and various SAS/STS Owner organizations.
  • Identify, track, manage, resolve and communicate project issues during design and construction including documenting Site Observation Reports and managing applicable construction punch list to resolution.
  • Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project risk points for safety and code compliance.
  • Perform regular field observation inspections to verify existing conditions of installed steel, piping, and equipment to ensure that it meets safety and code standards.
  • Managing stakeholders in a customer-service oriented team.
  • The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership skills and is eager to learn what is required to interface with stakeholders across SAS/STS Facilities, Manufacturing, and Engineering organizations and to successfully interface with design consultants to meet the aggressive goals and timelines during all aspects of the project.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 6+ years of IWT design and project experience focused on systems in an industrial setting. Semiconductor Facilities experience or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 4-year direct and/or indirect construction project management experience in an industrial setting. Semiconductor fab experience preferred.
  • 2+ years in a construction setting is preferred.
  • 4-year degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.

The current base salary range for this role is between $70,480 - $179,090. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
