Position Summary

As a Surface Analysis Technician, you will operate surface analysis analytical equipment, support analysis requests, and collaborate with engineering to support Foundry process qualifications, equipment qualifications, and mass production yield improvements.

Role And Responsibilities

• Daily operations will include operating Surface Analysis instruments for customer analysis requests.
• Prepare samples for analysis, set up and operate analysis equipment for data collection, and summarize results.
• Assist in developing methods and procedures to optimize techniques and capabilities related to in‑lab operations.
• Follow laboratory and equipment‑specific standard operating procedures.

Skills And Qualifications Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum # Years Required

• Two years of college or technical school or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of semiconductor processes and laboratory experience of at least 1–5 years.
• 1–5 years’ experience with analysis equipment hands‑on operation preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, Tools

• Prior experience operating analysis equipment including Optical Profilometry, Atomic Force Microscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy, Energy‑Dispersive Spectroscopy, Electron Backscatter Diffraction, Nanoindentation, FTIR, and Raman.
• Experience with semiconductor process equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of other imaging or compositional analytical techniques.
• Knowledge of semiconductor process flow.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in technical writing.
• Ability to interact with process and support engineering groups.
• Excellent problem‑solving ability.
• Teamwork with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Total Rewards

The current base salary range for this role is between $18.60 and $45.00 per hour, depending on duties, location, education, skills, qualifications, and experience. Total compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs.
