The GCS Chemical Maintenance team is focused on maintaining specialty chemical equipment at Samsung Austin Semiconductor. The Chemical Maintenance team works in conjunction with GCS engineering and operations teams and contracted operations teams to optimise safety, operations and maintenance.

• Chemical Maintenance Technicians will provide technical expertise for chemical systems, safety and quality standards, and improvements for those systems. Technicians will interact with operations teams both internal and contract, and equipment vendors to sustain and maintain equipment.
• Troubleshoot emergent equipment issues and provide technical direction to resolve.
• Work with engineering teams to plan and execute non‑standard equipment maintenance to address failures or equipment improvements.

• Aid engineering to commission and startup new equipment installations.
• Optimise preventative maintenance strategies for aging assets to minimise risk of unexpected failures.

• 2+ years of college/technical school or equivalent related experience preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in facilities or high volume semiconductor manufacturing.
• Strong technical skills and the ability to represent the group in work coordination and execution.
• 4+ years of chemical or gas delivery operations and/or maintenance experience; semiconductor facility support preferred.
• Experience with pumps, valves, HMIs, piping distribution systems.
• Experience with systems troubleshooting and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Aptitude for documentation and data analysis.
• Familiarity with design and installation of gas and chemical equipment including piping systems and facility support equipment.
• Experience in semiconductor engineering is a plus.
• Ability to work overtime / on non‑scheduled days as required.

The current base salary range for this role is between $18.60 – $45.00 per hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organisational and individual performance.
