• Brake systems and adjustments
• Basic knowledge of tractor and 53' trailer preventive maintenance
• Tire service and replacement
• Basic troubleshooting
• Ability to jump start a tractor
• Align headlights
• Replace, mount and dismount tires
• Replace mud flaps, hangers, mirrors, shocks, windshield wiper components
• Adjust brakes, replace linings, drums, cams and bushings
• Use cutting torch and minor welding
• Change oil and grease equipment
• Check all fluid levels
• Provide quality repairs and meet time per repair standards
• Maintain compliance to parts procedures
• Follow all safety protocols, wear protective gear and maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Desire to learn shop procedures and technical information, take initiative
• Valid driver’s license
• Brake certification (or willingness to obtain; we can provide training)
• Basic set of tools
• Experience with diesel, trailer, and/or reefer systems or eagerness to learn
• Motivated and mechanically inclined

• Competitive pay: $17–$20/hour based on experience
