Job Summary
The English Skills Learning Center (ESLC) is seeking a compassionate and reliable Child Care Facilitator to support families participating in adult English classes. This person will create a safe, engaging environment for children (ages 1‑5) while their parents attend class. The ideal candidate is creative, dependable, and passionate about supporting community‑based learning.
- Plan and lead age‑appropriate activities for children during English classes, including art, games, storytime, and free play.
- Set up and clean up the childcare space each day.
- Supervise children to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
- Collaborate with ESLC staff and teachers.
- Communicate with volunteers supporting childcare activities.
- Communicate with parents as needed and follow safety procedures.
- Track attendance and maintain basic records.
- Experience working with children (informal or formal settings welcome).
- Ability to plan and lead engaging activities for a range of ages.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable and punctual.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
