Job Summary:

Tutoring Arabic language.

• Reliability, timeliness and attention to detail.
• Increase knowledge of Arabic through course content (e.g., Arabic 1010, 1020, 2010, 2020) and related teaching methods, course textbook, materials, and assignments.
• Increase competence in tutoring by integrating textbook materials, assessing student competence, and tailoring instruction to the student’s level, needs, and instructor expectations.
• Communicate effectively with a broad range of people with varying abilities and backgrounds; maintain positive working relationships across the College.
• Work with diverse groups, including community college students, faculty, staff, and individuals with disabilities.

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Current student of SLCC.
• Language teaching or tutoring experience.
• Availability to attend SLCC classes in the target language in conjunction with the course instructor’s approval.
• Attending classes will increase familiarity with course materials and teaching methods.
• The instructor will expect you to work with students during class time, which is good preparation for tutoring.
