Position: Financial Analyst I, DHHS

Overview

Financial Analyst I, DHHS — Utah Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Finance & Administration (DFA). This role provides crucial financial management support within the Division of Finance & Administration to help sustain essential public programs and public health initiatives.

To excel in this role, you should have a solid grasp of basic accounting, budgeting, and other essential financial functions.

Responsibilities
  • Review fiscal operations to ensure integrity, accuracy, and control of data.
  • Prepare and present financial reports using MS Excel spreadsheets and pivot tables.
  • Ensure financial compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and department rules, policies, standards, and practices.
  • Reconcile financial allocations and reports.
  • Analyze, summarize, and review data, interpret results, and make recommendations.
  • Research and review financial records, transactions, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with division program staff to complete assigned duties.
  • Manage accounting or budget activities and provide fiscal information.
Qualifications and Desired Skills
