LocationTea, SD (right off I-29)
Work Hours7:00am to 4:30pm Monday – Friday (40hrs + 5hrs overtime per week)

Position SummaryThe Welder is responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities- Analyze, read, and interpret blueprints and work instructions to take and/or read measurements to plan layouts and procedures.
- Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
- Weld components using welding equipment in various positions like vertical and horizontal.
- Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion or expansion of material.
- Inspect work pieces to verify conformity with quality standards and specifications.
- Monitor the welding process to ensure consistent quality and make adjustments to maintain optimal weld integrity.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage of welding equipment, tools, and materials.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4 years of welding experience
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is desired.
- Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to focus on a given task.
- Enthusiastic about learning new skills and technology.
- Effective time-management tactical approach to work prioritization.
- Commitment to continued development through the DeGeest Strong Standard Program.
- Read, speak, and write the English language.
- Good communication skills.

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is eligible for a bonus.
