Description

Assemble and fabricate metal cabinets, enclosures, bases, and/or other components.

* Assist the crane operator by providing clear and precise signals to ensure safe and efficient crane movements.

* Continuously monitor the work area to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

* Guide the positioning of loads, ensuring they are moved safely and accurately.

* Maintain constant communication with the crane operator and other team members to coordinate movements and operations.

* Conduct pre-operation inspections of rigging and lifting equipment to ensure they are in good condition and safe to use.

* Stay updated on safety protocols and participate in regular training sessions to ensure compliance with safety standards.

* Assist in identifying and resolving any issues related to crane operations promptly and efficiently.

* Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

* Follow established safety guidelines.

* Perform additional duties as requested.

Requirements

* High School Diploma or GED preferred. Equivalent experience may be acceptable.

* Experience around bridge cranes and advanced rigging.

* Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, tape measure, grinders, and saws safely.

* Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions.

* Ability to read and comprehend instructions.

* Requires good judgment, and ability to work with others and perform other tasks as assigned.

* Experience operating a forklift preferred.

Salary Description

$21.00-$28.00/hour
