Location: Tea, SD (travel in Lincoln and Turner counties)

USD Head Start is hiring for a Head Start Home Visitor position. The role works from the Tea, SD office and involves traveling in Lincoln and Turner counties to complete weekly visits in homes of expectant women and children ages 0-2. Home Visitors also assist in Play and Learn Sessions held at the Tea office site.

• Travel weekly to families’ homes to conduct visits with expectant women and children ages 0-2.
• Assist in Play and Learn Sessions at the Tea office.
• Travel in inclement weather conditions to visit families.
• Provide program vehicle for transportation.

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, counseling, nursing, or a closely related field.
• Some experience working with young children and families.
