We are soliciting applications for part-time, hourly adjunct instructors. The starting salary range is $67.00/hour; hourly rate may vary based on assignment type and Lecture Hour Equivalent (LHE) formula.

• Provide instruction in a full range of Political Science courses.
• Participate in student recruitment and articulation of transfer programs for the Science department.
• Maintain subject matter currency; develop and revise curriculum.
• Use computer and multimedia technology; collegial participation in departmental, college and discipline-specific professional activities.
• Teach using multiple methodologies at other campus sites; day, evening, or weekend classes; large classes; distance learning; and classes for incarcerated students.

• Master's in Political Science, Government, or International Relations; OR
• Bachelor's in any of the above AND Master’s in Economics, History, Public Administration, Social Science, Sociology, any ethnic studies, JD, or LL.B.; OR
• Possession of a valid credential authorizing full-time teaching of Political Science at the California Community College level; OR equivalent.

• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Maintain subject matter currency.
• Assess student learning outcomes.
• Knowledge of computers and willingness to explore new technologies.
• Commitment to the California community college mission.
