Job Summary
Provides nursing care to patients with acute and chronic medical conditions and those recovering from surgical procedures. Monitors patient health, administers treatments, and supports recovery and discharge planning.
RN - Med/Surg (Medical-Surgical)Provides nursing care to patients with acute and chronic medical conditions and those recovering from surgical procedures. Monitors patient health, administers treatments, and supports recovery and discharge planning.
Education & Experience- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required)
- Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience (Preferred)
- Current RN license in state of practice (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (Preferred or based on facility requirements)
- Performs comprehensive patient assessments and monitors vital signs and clinical conditions.
- Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitors patient recovery and promptly reports changes in condition.
- Provides preoperative and postoperative nursing care as required.
- Assists patients with mobility, daily activities, and personal care needs.
- Educates patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborates with physicians and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintains accurate medical records and follows infection control and patient safety protocols.
