This is a varied, hands-on role where youll work on a wide range of assets, helping to ensure safe and efficient port operations. Shift pattern:
The role operates on a rotating shift pattern of 06:0014:30 and 08:3017:00, with weekend availability required depending on operational and engineering demand. What Youll Be Doing Carry out inspection, maintenance, fault diagnostics, and installation work in line with current legislation and company standards Maintain cranes, machinery, and port equipment Maintain port buildings, including transit sheds, offices, and workshop machinery Complete scheduled servicing and report defects
What Were Looking For Essential Apprentice-trained Mechanical Fitter Experience in maintenance and breakdowns within heavy industry Strong teamwork and communication skills Flexible and proactive approach to work Full UK driving licence Experience or comfortable working at height and in confined spaces
