Client Account Manager

This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking accountancy practice in Berkshire, looking for an experienced Client Account Manager to join the team on a fixed-term contract, starting around May 2026. The role is expected to run for six months, with the possibility of extending to a year. This is a hands-on role with plenty of client interaction, autonomy, and variety. Role overview:
Reviewing year-end accounts, corporation tax returns, VAT returns and bookkeeping Acting as a key point of contact for clients, helping them with day-to-day queries Providing guidance and support to junior team members Ensuring compliance and accuracy across all client deliverables Working closely with the wider team to deliver a consistent and proactive service What’s on offer:
Fixed-term contract, six months with potential to extend to twelve months Start date around May 2026 Hybrid working, typically two days from home each week Flexible working hours Opportunity to work with a loyal and varied client base

About you:

ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience Strong background in accountancy practice Comfortable reviewing year-end accounts, VAT, bookkeeping and corporation tax Excellent communication skills and client-facing confidence Able to hit the ground running in a busy, supportive team environment This is a great opportunity for an experienced practice professional looking for a fixed-term role.
