An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic team within the Neonatal Unit.
The successful applicant will need to have experience dealing with the general public; they will have good IT skills and remain calm under pressure in this challenging role. A good telephone manner, confidence and a positive helpful manner is essential. Duties will include answering the telephone, filing, booking appointments and help with signposting parents and visitors.
Full training will be provided for the successful candidate.

The postholder will be expected to provide clerical, administrative and information technology support to medical, nursing and other staff in relation to the patients being cared for within the Unit.
- Receive/welcome new patients onto the ward, checking particulars on their records and ensuring notesare inorder.

Compilesetsofrequiredblank documentation for emergency patients. - Receive/welcomevisitorsontothe

Sister/Charge Nurseordeputyofanyquerythey may have. Answerthetelephone,respondingtoquestionsorrequestsas appropriate. Requesttheservicesofalliedhealthcareprofessionalsasrequestedbynursingstaff(eg Phlebotomist/ECGTechnician/Radiographers/Porters). - Notify Pathologyofurgentbloodspecimenswhenrequestedbynursing staff.
- Requestandcollect(ordeliverwhenrequested) notesandx-raysfromvarious departments.

Our Service will relocate to The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in 2028 as part of HTP. This move will bring specialist services together in a modern, purpose-built facility to improve patient care and team experience.
We are actively recruiting, and successful candidates will be expected to move with the Service in early 2028. The relocation will follow a formal management of change process, including full consultation and support for staff.

Qualifications- Possess or be willing to undertake NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Business Administration
- Evidence of effective verbal- face to face / telephone, non-verbal, written communications skills.
- Knowledge of hospital administration system
- Basic Computer Skills
- Customer Care Experience
- Experience with in the NHS
