Greenhous is looking for an experienced and customer-focused Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) to join our busy Bodyshop at High Ercall
. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent technical knowledge, strong estimating skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you will play a vital role in ensuring damaged vehicles are assessed accurately, repairs are planned efficiently, and customers receive a first-class experience from start to finish.
Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Collate estimates on body repairs to accident-damaged vehicles using the Audatex computerised estimating system.
- Calculate the time required to complete all necessary repairs and authorise additional work where required, keeping the Bodyshop informed throughout the repair process.
- Accurately assess vehicle damage and produce detailed repair estimates.
- Identify required repairs and replacement parts using strong mechanical and technical knowledge.
- Ensure all repairs meet NVQ standards and Greenhous quality expectations.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers while identifying opportunities to maximise sales.
- Liaise professionally with customers, insurance companies, engineers, and workshop teams.
- Manage customer vehicle handovers efficiently and accurately.
- Upsell additional products and services where appropriate to enhance the customer experience.
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail across all vehicle assessments and documentation.
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor, Estimator, or in a similar Bodyshop role.
- Experience using the Audatex estimating system.
- Excellent knowledge of vehicle body repair methods and estimating processes.
- Strong mechanical understanding and the ability to identify repair requirements accurately.
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK driving licence.
