We are looking for an employee (m/f/d) who is able to start work as Supply Chain Lead. The role requires a capable business leader with set and agreed KPIs driving the business forward, robust stock control and management aligned with a 2026 automotive sequence business, higher business management security, and the ability to develop new ways of working such as an AI strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Champion a culture of safety and accountability, ensuring all team members and visitors operate in a safe environment with improved near‑miss reporting.
  • Take full responsibility for achieving 100% on‑time and complete delivery performance to both internal and external customers.
  • Own and actively reduce expedited freight costs, implementing robust action plans and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Lead and oversee all logistics operations, ensuring timely shipments and material availability to support production.
  • Drive planning and scheduling activities to meet customer demand while optimising plant profitability – focusing on paint planning optimisation.
  • Anticipate customer needs and maintain strong, proactive relationships, including direct engagement where necessary.
  • Represent logistics in all new product launches, ensuring readiness and alignment with operational goals.
  • Set clear KPIs and objectives for the Logistics, Planning, and Scheduling teams, conducting annual appraisals and performance reviews.
  • Ensure ongoing development and cross‑training to build a flexible, high‑performing team.
  • Monitor and improve logistics processes to ensure schedule adherence and customer satisfaction.
  • Own and report all supply chain metrics, driving improvement initiatives and ensuring visibility across the business.
  • Ensure packaging availability and manage chargeable containers to support efficient production.
  • Maintain agreed inventory buffers and ensure supplier adherence to schedules, escalating issues appropriately.
  • Measure and improve supplier performance, establishing clear protocols for emergency deliveries.
  • Lead communication and resolution of any disruptions to production or customer delivery, ensuring timely escalation and mitigation.
  • Define and track internal success metrics between Logistics and Operations to drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor customer performance data and challenge discrepancies, particularly customer portals, self‑assessments, IATF compliance, VDA audits, etc.
  • Participate in capacity planning and resolve any arising issues with urgency and ownership.
  • Ensure data accuracy across all logistics functions, including resolution of COGI issues.
  • Enforce stores reservation processes and support cycle counting with full adherence and problem resolution.
  • Manage obsolete and scrap parts both physically and within systems, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Drive improvements in stock accuracy and lead successful annual stock takes.
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement procedures to optimise material flow and reduce excess costs.
  • Develop and enforce robust policies and procedures governing all planning, scheduling, and logistics activities.
  • Provide strong leadership, coaching, and development to direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure effective communication across teams to support change and drive operational enhancements.
  • Align all functions with health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring compliance and staff wellbeing.
