Key Responsibilities- Support 8 to 18 year olds in a residential care setting
- Create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where they can flourish
- Plan and take part in exciting activities—from outdoor adventures to creative projects
- Be a positive role model, helping build confidence, resilience, and life skills
- Work as part of a passionate, supportive team that values every voice
- Experience in a children's residential care home (highly desirable)
- A level 3 (or above) diploma in residential childcare (desirable)
- Experience with in care, education, mental health support and/or youth activities (essential)
- A full driving licence issued in the UK (essential)
- Applicants must have full right to work in the UK with no restrictions (essential)
- Values in line with Esland's, such as taking a therapeutic, person‑centred approach to childcare (essential)
- A keen interest in outdoor and adventure activities (essential)
- Due to industry regulations, applicants must be aged 21 or above (essential)
Pay rate: £38,475 – £40,815 per annum (includes opportunities to pick up extra shifts/overtime at an enhanced rate).
Estimated salary based on a pay rate of £12.75 to £13.75 per hour for days (depending on qualifications held) and working 12 sleep‑nights per month on average (at £60 per sleep night).

4 days on, 6 days off (with sleep nights). Service operates 365 days a year. Rotas given in advance. Temporary role to cover maternity leave, may lead to permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
SettingWoodside Farm – Shifnal. Beautifully renovated property in the countryside, providing an excellent therapeutic setting. Uses trauma‑informed approach to support emotional healing and personal development for up to two young people at a time. Over a 12‑week placement, assessment strategy helps determine what is right for the young person.
