An exciting opportunity for a Tier 1 (ST1-ST3 registrar equivalent) Doctor to work within our established Paediatric department. This post is ideal for a successful applicant to further develop their paediatric skills and encourages interest in non-clinical areas such as education, governance or management.

• Day to day participation in clinical activities on children's ward and assessment unit with direct resident consultant or a middle grade support – both day and night shifts.
• Participation in department teaching, audit and educational activities.
• Engagement with personal clinical audit, departmental governance and mortality and morbidity meetings.
• Participation in teaching and CPD meetings; supervision meetings.
• Develop enhanced clinical skills, especially in the assessment and management of acutely ill patients.
• Excellent team‑working skills with the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver clinical and quality targets agreed nationally and locally with clinical teams and commissioners.
• Follow patients through their clinical pathways.
