Teaching Assistant – Early Years and Key Stage 1

Location: Telford

Start Date: January 2026

Monarch Education is working in collaboration with a Primary School in Telford to recruit a Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position starting as soon as possible (January start).

Experience working within Early Years and /or Key Stage 1 is essential.

The role will also involve supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with complex learning and behavioural needs. The successful candidate will also be required to assist with personal care and toileting.

• Provide individual and small group support to pupils with SEND
• Assist with personal care and toileting routines
• Help implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Work closely with teaching staff and the school’s SENCO to support inclusive learning
• Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment
• Record pupil progress and contribute to regular updates

• A recognised Teaching Assistant or education-related qualification (Level 2 or Level
  3)
• Experience working with children with SEND
• Confidence in providing personal care and toileting support
• A calm, professional, and reliable approach
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
