Telford & Wrekin Council is looking for a SEND Coordinator to join our award‑winning SEND team. We are seeking an individual with significant Local Authority or Education and SEND experience who can develop their career within a top Local Authority.
The successful candidate will build strong working relationships with system stakeholders to ensure we meet the needs of children and young people with SEND while complying with our statutory responsibilities.
The SEND Coordinator is responsible for coordinating work processes, including requests for and reviews of Educational Health Care Plans. The role promotes integrated working by coordinating assessment, planning and review processes for children with Special Educational Needs and Disability, and engaging other teams to contribute to assessment and planning as appropriate. Sensitive communication with parents, schools and other agencies will be required.
