About the Role:

Aspire People is seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to support students in mainstream classrooms, SEN hubs, and specialist sites in Telford. This long-term role offers the opportunity to work with a variety of students with different learning needs, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive in their education.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 or small group support for students with special educational needs (SEN), both in mainstream classrooms and specialist settings.

Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and personal learning goals.

Support students in developing key skills and promoting their independence both inside and outside the classroom.

Provide behaviour support and use strategies to help students engage with learning.

Help deliver tailored interventions to support students' academic, social, and emotional development.

Work closely with class teachers and other professionals to monitor progress and adapt support where necessary.

Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Requirements:

Relevant experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) in a school or similar setting.

A passion for working with students with SEN and the ability to support their individual needs.

Qualifications related to SEN (e.g., SEN TA qualification or equivalent) are ideal, but not essential if you have strong relevant experience.

Experience in using SEN strategies to support students' learning, behaviour, and development.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.

Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting children with diverse learning needs.

Ability to adapt to different teaching environments, including mainstream classrooms, SEN hubs, and specialist provision.
