Aspire People are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 class in Telford. This full-time, temporary role is perfect for an enthusiastic individual who is ready to make a real difference in the learning journey of young children.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Year 1 teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and classroom activities.
Assist with the day-to-day running of the classroom, including preparing resources and helping with student management.
Work closely with individual students and small groups to provide targeted support where needed.
Help children with reading, writing, and other core subjects, ensuring they're meeting their developmental milestones.
Support the teacher in assessing and tracking the progress of students.
Encourage positive behaviour, ensuring the classroom remains a productive and safe environment.
Build strong relationships with children, supporting their social, emotional, and academic development.
About You:
Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of how to support children in Year 1, particularly with their early literacy and numeracy skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Passionate about working with young children and helping them achieve their potential.
Patient, adaptable, and confident in managing classroom behaviour.
A team player, ready to work collaboratively with both the teacher and other school staff.
