SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) Location Canterbury, Kent Full-Time Permanent, on-site Salary £35,000 £ 40,000 A specialist education provider supporting children and young people with SEND is seeking an experienced and passionate SENCO to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher with strong SEND knowledge to play a key role in shaping and overseeing SEN provision across a specialist education service and alternative provision settings.
The Role Youll be responsible for:
Leading and developing SEN provision across the service Managing and maintaining SEND processes and provision mapping Supporting tutors and staff with effective SEN strategies and interventions Working closely with families, local authorities, and external professionals Monitoring student progress and ensuring appropriate support is in place Delivering CPD and promoting inclusive practice across the organisation About You Were looking for someone with:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) SENCO qualification (or willingness to complete) Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice Experience supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting learners
Experience with in alternative provision, tutoring services, or specialist education settings would be advantageous.
