As an Education Coordinator, you will support students' well-being, behaviour and personal development within an educational setting. The role focuses on providing emotional, social and behavioural support to ensure students thrive both academically and personally.

Key responsibilities- Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge all pupils.
- Collaborate with the Education Lead to design, implement, and evaluate curriculum plans tailored to the needs of all learners.
- Develop creative and engaging teaching strategies to support differentiated learning pathways.
- Coordinate daily timetables for staff and learners to ensure smooth delivery of educational sessions.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentoring to tutor's and support staff.
- Actively monitor tutor progress and their day to day line management, including absences and cover when needed.
- Support the Education Lead to deliver and facilitate CPD training sessions to upskill staff in teaching and learning.
- Step in to cover classes in the absence of teaching staff where reasonably required, ensuring continuity in lesson delivery and team ethos.
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement.
- Support the Education Lead in ensuring compliance with regulatory and inspection standards (e.g., Ofsted, SEND Code of Practice).
- Contribute to the development of reports and updates for stakeholders, including parents/carers and external agencies.
- Work with management to plan and programme the timetable for the academic year.
- Support the Pastoral Lead in monitoring attendance, behaviour and performance to meet programme targets and policies through regular case conference meetings with the teaching staff.
- Work alongside the tutors, the Progress and Monitoring Officer and IQA to ensure that assessments, both formative and summative, are planned into the curriculum.
- Support the SENCO with the completion of learners' EHCP Annual Reviews.
- Conduct frequent learning walks for every Tutor, Higher Level Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants.
- Conduct OTLs for Tutors in line with the Observation and Teaching Policy.
- Support the Education Lead and IQA with the year on a page and take responsibility for looking at enrichment activities for students with the support of the tutors.
- Work as part of the wider Landau management team, providing reports and management information and contributing actively to the continued success of the organisation.
- Support and promote extra-curricular activities.
- Monitor and review the MIS system in the department, liaising with the admin team where needed for updates and reviews.
- Support and promote sharing best practice between all staff.
- Act as designated Safeguarding officer (DSO).
- Support the Centre Manager with cover for other coordinator roles in their absence during periods of holiday, sickness and training.
- Transport learners to events and activities in your own transport, public transport or a company vehicle.
- Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required in the position according to the needs of the business.
- Teaching Qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, DTLLS, Level 5 AET) or other Education related degree. (Essential)
- Assessor & IQA qualifications (Desirable)
- Designated Safeguarding Officer training (Desirable)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience of working in a similar role (Essential)
- Experience of managing a team (Essential)
- Experience of working with SEMH students (Desirable)
- Excellent knowledge of the SEND code of practice (Desirable)
