Salary:
Up to £42,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)

At Penny Tree School, we’re looking for an exceptional SEN Science Teacher to join our growing team and help shape brighter futures for young people with diverse and complex needs.

As our SEN Science Teacher, you'll deliver inspiring and highly personalised Science lessons that bring learning to life. Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll help pupils develop scientific knowledge, critical thinking skills and confidence while supporting their social, emotional and personal development.

• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated Science lessons up to GCSE level
• Creating a safe, nurturing and structured learning environment where pupils can thrive
• Monitoring, assessing and reporting on progress, achievement and outcomes
• Developing and reviewing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Behaviour Plans and personalised learning programmes
• Leading and contributing to the development of Science across the school
• Working collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants, therapists, tutors and families
• Adapting teaching approaches to meet a wide range of learning needs and abilities
• Supporting pupils to develop confidence, independence and emotional resilience

• QTS/QTLS with strong subject knowledge in Science
• Experience or a genuine passion for working with students with SEN
• Creativity, patience and adaptability to every lesson
• Clear communication and teamwork within a multi‑disciplinary team
• Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice
• Understanding of safeguarding, wellbeing and positive behaviour support
