We are seeking an exceptional KS3 Primary Teacher to join our dedicated team and play a pivotal role in shaping high quality teaching, learning and inclusion for our pupils-many of whom have complex needs, including autism, communication differences and social, emotional or developmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities

As a Primary Teacher at Lamledge School, you will:

  • Deliver high quality, engaging teaching across a range of subjects, ensuring continuity, progression and meaningful learning for all pupils.
  • Champion inclusive practice and contribute to the ongoing development of our SEN provision, working closely with families, external agencies and our in house therapy team.
  • Model effective teaching strategies and collaborate with Teachers and Teaching Assistants to support pupils with diverse needs.
  • Create a stimulating, safe and well organised learning environment that promotes independence, communication and core life skills.
  • Use assessment, data and evidence to set ambitious yet achievable targets, monitor progress and drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to whole school planning, curriculum development and behaviour approaches that reflect our ethos and priorities.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with parents/carers and the wider community, ensuring they are active partners in each child's journey.

About you

  • Degree/ QTS or equivalent qualification relevant to sector required.
  • A strong understanding of primary aged learners and how to help them flourish.
  • A genuine commitment to neuro affirming, trauma informed and child centred practice.
  • Knowledge of statutory curriculum requirements, assessment and high quality teaching strategies.
  • The ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet a wide range of developmental and communication needs.
  • A collaborative mindset and the confidence to work closely with our Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Psychotherapy teams.
  • Experience in a SEND setting (desirable but not essential).
