Placement Coordinator – Construction Poole | Full Time | Fixed Term to 31 March 2027 Are you passionate about helping young people take their first steps into the world of work? We're looking for a proactive and organised Placement Coordinator - Construction to join our Business Development and Partnerships team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference by connecting students with valuable industry placements that build confidence, develop workplace skills and support future career success.
Working closely with employers, curriculum teams, students and parents, you'll play a key role in create high-quality placement opportunities that support students' career development. What you'll be doing As a Placement Coordinator, you'll:
Build and maintain strong relationships with construction employers to source high-quality industry placements Support students with placement preparation, including CV development and employability skills Match students to suitable placement opportunities that align with their career goals Monitor student progress and provide ongoing support throughout their placement journey Conduct placement visits and ensure learners receive a safe and positive experience Ensure all placements meet safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance requirements Maintain accurate records using college systems and employer CRM platforms Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to enhance student outcomes and progression opportunities What we're looking for We're seeking someone who is:
An excellent communicator with strong relationship-building skills Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively Passionate about supporting young people and improving employability outcomes Comfortable engaging with employers, students, parents and colleagues at all levels Confident using Microsoft Office and digital systems Able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team You'll ideally have experience in a customer-facing, administrative, education, employability, recruitment, or stakeholder engagement environment.
