Education Adviser

Role Overview

Telford & Wrekin Council is launching a Virtual School to improve attendance, engagement and attainment for children in care, children with a social worker, previously looked after children and children in kinship care. We are looking for a dynamic Teacher Education Adviser to work with schools and partners through multi‑agency working and the Family First Partnership.

• Monitor and track pupil progress and recommend interventions to enable pupils and students to achieve and succeed.
• Navigate the multi‑professional network to ensure barriers to learning and progress are overcome.
• Support and equip the network with the skills and experience needed to support our learners.
• Lead and co‑facilitate training for a variety of stakeholders.
• Coordinate a variety of young person enrichment opportunities that take place after school and occasionally during school holidays and weekends.

Proven experience of raising attainment for vulnerable pupils, including those with special educational needs.
