SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Stirchley

Horizon Teachers are looking for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a Primary school in Wandsworth from September 2026.This role involves supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis, both in and out of the classroom. The school is within walking distance to a mainline train station and may be extended into September. If you are interested, please apply! What youll be doing Supporting a child with SEND so they can access learning and feel confident viding personal care when needed (e.g. toileting and helping at mealtimes) Working closely with the class teacher to adapt activities and resources to suit individual needs.

Encouraging independence, social skills, and self-esteem. Building trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families. What were looking for Experience supporting children with SEND in a school setting, or in a similar care focused role. Someone who is flexible and is happy to work across a range of year groups. A patient, empathetic, and reliable approach to both learning support and personal care.
