We are currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a two-form-entry, “Good”-rated primary school in Telford.

This role will involve providing 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 2 who has ADHD and challenging behaviour. The school is seeking a confident and experienced Teaching Assistant who can build positive relationships, implement effective behaviour management strategies, and provide consistent, tailored support to meet the child’s individual needs.

The position is part-time, starting in October 2026 and continuing until April 2027. The working hours are Tuesday to Thursday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Required Skills and Experience

To be considered for this Teaching Assistant role, you must:

Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
Have good knowledge and experience of working with SEND.
Have experience working in nurseries or primary schools as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant (LSA).
Hold a DBS on the Update Service or have one that was issued within the last 12 months.
Be able to provide a minimum of two excellent references.
Have recent UK school-based experience.
