OverviewRole:
Compliance Engineer
As a Compliance Engineer, you will support the Lab Manager by ensuring that product approvals are current and compliant with the latest international standards. This role involves managing third-party products to ensure all data is up to date to place on the market, and this could include testing the products to verify the data that has been shared.
Responsibilities- Create product risk assessments.
- Understand and develop test plans according to required standards and legislation.
- Maintain internal test verification methods in line with the latest approval standards.
- Review third-party data to support new product introductions.
- Interpret third-party test reports to identify covered products and any outstanding data needed.
- Maintain databases to support products and accompanying data.
- Develop technical presentations for supporting evidence on the samples.
- Liaise with suppliers to request the required information.
- Create technical files in accordance with product legislation.
- Sample inspection and testing to verify products in line with expectations.
- Create and maintain data / energy labels, product codes and packaging related items.
- Create and maintain instruction manuals.
- Define spares list and maintain.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure the products are released on a timely basis.
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, or related experience.
- Proven experience (>3 years) in engineering in a product compliance role.
- Able to read engineering drawings and schematic diagrams.
- Able to plan work to balance conflicting priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong understanding of Product legislation requirements (LVD, GAR, etc) including international requirements.
- Able to interpret and understand test standards.
- A self-starter that can work autonomously.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment where variants are high and lead times are short.
- Regular travel between sites (Long Eaton Site).
